Honestly. What kind of dork commemorates Harry Potter's birthday? (You're looking at one of those dorks right now. Or, er, you aren't, actually. Unless of course you are also one of those dorks and you happen to be gazing upon yourself in a mirror at the moment.)
Anyway, this technically isn't a Tuneful Tuesday, but here's a song anyway. :)
They found my purse at the restaurant I was at, when the restaurant staff were cleaning the bathrooms at the end of the night. Phew! I quite liked this purse.
I'm still missing my wallet (including credit, debit, and health cards, most notably, along with some membership cards), iPod (*sniff* my now-outdated iPod shuffle was named Slide Shuffle, because in iTunes they ask you to name your iPod when you first use it), cellphone and SecureID token for access to my work intranet. However, I do still have all of my keys -- just so happened that last night I was carrying around the keys and access fob to my home, the keys and access fob to my brother's home, Mom's car keys, and Dad's car keys -- and everything else is still there, including my SIN card (that's the same as an SSN card, to you Americans) and my driver's licence. Thank the heavens.
I've no idea what they think that can do with my SecureID token, since it's worthless without my 4-digit PIN. Weird. Also, I'm sad about my iPod because I have this portable speaker thing that goes with it perfectly and I'll still be able to use it with a different mp3 player but it just won't be as good. :P Replacement credit cards are on the way...working on getting a replacement cellphone...
Some worthless person totally stole my purse tonight while I was out for dinner with my brother. What pisses me off most, besides the stolen credit cards and all forms of identification I had (other than my passport), was that there was almost nothing of value at all in my purse -- nothing of value to anyone who isn't me. There was stuff in there that did mean something to me, but for the $60 cash that the thief got from me (they didn't use my credit cards or anything) I hope it was worth being a miserable, vomitous piece of crap. Even just the purse itself meant more to me than it meant to them in the 2 seconds of time that they spent deciding to steal my personal property right from my chair in that restaurant.
For anyone trying to reach me by phone, please call my home phone number. Obviously I no longer have access to my cellphone.
Okay, so it isn't actually Tuesday today, but I have good reasons for that! Well, reasons, anyway. Or at least one reason for being late one of the two days. Um. Anyway, my point is, I'm posting now, so the reasons for my belatedness are moot anyhow, all right? :)
So in my grand recent tradition (ha) of copying all the cool things that Kyasuriin does on her blog and pretending it was my own idea to begin with, I present you with Twofold Tuneful Tuesdays -- twofold because I'm assuming I'll (a) not have enough good songs to post every week and (b) forget or not have time to post. Hey, I'm trying to be realistic here. :)
Without any further ado about nothing, here are this weeks offerings. Please leave a comment so I know what songs you all like and all. :)
So it's about that time, kids. Time for me to retreat from the Internet in a last-ditch effort to preserve my non-spoilery existence.
I've been meaning to cut myself off way before now, but obviously I kind of use the Internet kind of a lot possibly, so it's been tricky. But I think enough is enough, 'cause Pottermania is running amok. Offline, too, but offline sources are easier to contain. Except for those wretched unlikely sources that catch you offguard, of course.
Anyway, I'm gone...my accounting exam results are out tomorrow morning, so one way or the other I'll be needing HP: DH to cheer me up (if I pass the exam, I have a practice exam on Sunday followed with training, etc. about a week after that; if I don't pass, then, well, I haven't passed, and I won't be able to rewrite this exam or write the next one until next year.) (That was an unnecessarily long-winded parenthetical addendum, but I'm sure you can all work it out with those large brains of yours.)
Ta! I'll talk to you all after The Book has been read.
ETA, 07/23/07, 2:27 AM: And now I'm done. Still need to process, of course, or I wouldn't be me. Feel free to discuss... in the meantime, I should look into getting some sleep or something. Work in 6 hours from now! W00t.

Random Question: "do u know wen the new aeson of dark angel come?"
Answer: ...There is, in fact, no new season of Dark Angel coming, seeing as how the show was cancelled back in 2002 (in favor of Firefly, and we all know how THAT turned out). Unless, of course, this query-maker is from another country in which the show hasn't completely aired yet, in which case I have no idea.
